Your First HTML Document


  A basic HTML document begins with the document type declaration<!Doctype html>to tell the browser you're using HTML5.


  Then, a basic structure follows, including the tags<html>,<head>and<body>.


  Inside<head>, you can define metadata such as the page title, links to CSS files, and scripts.


  In the<body>, you place the visible content of the page, such as paragraphs, images and links. Example:
